The Printing Process
What we do:
1. When we receive your image on a computer file
We open the image and check that everything is in order and that we can clearly print the image to your specifications.
Our pledge: We will email you letting you know that we have received the file and when you can expect your print to be delivered. In normal circumstances, and if you are ordering within New Zealand, you can expect delivery within the week. If there are any problems we will email you. We would prefer to refund you rather than print an unsatisfactory image.
2. Our printing and mounting process
We open the file and check file for:
- Suitability of file size for the dimensions required
- Appropriate colour, contrast, sharpness, etc.
In our terms and conditions we request your permission to make minor changes to improve image quality. If you agree, we will make these changes. All our operatives have extensive experience as graphic artists and are experts in colour management.
Our pledge: We will only print your image if we are certain that the result will be perfect. If we have any doubts, we will contact you for further instructions. We would rather not print and refund than disappoint.
With canvas prints, a small overlap is needed for framing. When wrapped onto a thick frame, 40mm of the final printed image is required to wrap around the frame. On canvas prints wrapped onto a thinner frame, 30mm of the final printed image will wrap around the frame. If important parts of the image are at the edge, these areas could be compromised. You must take this into account when selecting the image or instructing us.
3. We print the image
Once we are certain that all problems are resolved, we print your image.
We use the best quality materials and equipment available.

It was designed to deliver roll to roll CONSISTENCY from one production to the next.
Our Photo Paper

4. We mount the image

For canvas: We use wood 30mm thick for all our thick canvas frames and 20mm thick for our thinner canvas frames. This timber is kiln-dried to ensure that the canvas remains taut and the frame doesn't warp. Once wrapped, we tape the canvas edges onto the rear side for protection and a tidy finish.

Our Coating
Canvas Prints: The water resistant surface works exceptionally well with Glamour™ II Veneer, our proprietary water-based top coat coating designed specifically for our line of Brilliance Canvas. This Canvas will not shrink at all when it is coated with solvent or water-based coatings. If coated with Glamour II, this canvas will not crack even under extremely rigorous stretching conditions.
Block-Mounted Prints: All our block mounts are made from MDF particle board and are powder-coated on the back and edges to prevent warping. We then laminate a sheet of double-sided adhesive polyethylene film to the front of the board to ensure a perfect finish, and finally apply your image to the block using our top-secret formula.
5. To finish with
We attach fasteners and a hanging cord and, after carefully wrapping your print for protection in transit, courier it off to you.
